Summary

Now a major motion picture 'SOMETIMES。。。DEAD IS BETTER'
The house looks right, feels right to Dr Louis Creed。 Rambling, old and comfortable。 A place where the family can settle; the children grow and play and explore。 The rolling hills and meadows of Maine seem a world away from the fume-choked dangers of the city。
It's only those big trucks on the road outside which growl out unnerving threats。
Behind the house there's a carefully cleared path up into the woods to a place where generations of local children walked in a procession with the solemn innocence of the young, taking with them their dear departed pets for burial。
A sad place maybe, but safe。 Surely a safe place。 Not a place to seep into your dreams, to wake you, sweating with fear and foreboding。。。

'King can make the flesh creep half a world away' - The Times

'So beautifully paced that you cannot help but be pulled in' - Guardian

'The most frightening novel Stephen King has ever written' - Publisher's Weekly

Quite a neat narrative arc:1) Set up a happy situation2) Rip it to piecesUp, then down。 Well written, keeps you reading。 Depressing though。

What a crazy turn out。。 I did enjoy this book even though it was a little slow moving at the beginning。 The thing with this book is you know it won’t end well。 When does anything coming back from the dead have a happy ending。 Either way it was a good book!

“Der Acker im Herzen eines Mannes ist steiniger, Louis。“Ein absoluter King Klassiker und ebenso ein Lieblings-King!

Spooky spooky spooky。 And dark。 The ending was great。 It has a different feel from other king books despite being set in Maine like almost every one is (does he have the monopoly on Maine? Does anyone else dare set their story there?) The ending is a little ambiguous which I tend not to like in horror stories。 After all, I read horror to be entertained, not to think。 I hate when horror movies do it and I hate when horror books do it, but in this case it was done well and I didn't mind it。 The en Spooky spooky spooky。 And dark。 The ending was great。 It has a different feel from other king books despite being set in Maine like almost every one is (does he have the monopoly on Maine? Classic king! A reread for me and I loved it even more all these years later! He has a way with those creepy descriptions and discomfort vibes! Scenes with eerie grins and someone standing near your bed! Yep you’ve got me! Going back and doing some more King rereads cause well why the heck not!?

Seen the movie a hundred times。 Definitely different and better feel with the novel。

To review a classic is pointless。 This is the second time I am reading Pet Semetary, the first time being back when at school。 Well Stephen King is the King of horror novels。 And boy what a scary this book is。 The movies of 1982 and 2019 of the same title are nowhere closer to the horrific drama the words of King creates in the book。 You get lost in the narrative so deep that it leaves a haunting pleasure within。Louis Creed, the protagonist finds himself bringing his daughter's dead cat back fro To review a classic is pointless。 This is the second time I am reading Pet Semetary, the first time being back when at school。 Well Stephen King is the King of horror novels。 And boy what a scary this book is。 The movies of 1982 and 2019 of the same title are nowhere closer to the horrific drama the words of King creates in the book。 You get lost in the narrative so deep that it leaves a haunting pleasure within。Louis Creed, the protagonist finds himself bringing his daughter's dead cat back from dead。 The pet semetary hold the age old power of bringing dead pets back to life。 The story gets interesting when the demonic power starts to play with the minds and lives of Creed family who recently have shifted to the place。A true classic horror which deserved a solid three stars。 。。。more

This is hailed as the scariest Stephen King book, its relatively short (by Kings standards)。 It is about The creed family and what happens after their move to Ludlow, it deals with grief, loss and well monsters。 It is a great put together story, from start to finish, its neat and clean。 Not too long and not too short。 However I do not think it is the scariest, to this day IT has been the scariest book I have ever read。 Pet Sematary however maybe the most disturbing, it is the worst think you don This is hailed as the scariest Stephen King book, its relatively short (by Kings standards)。 It is about The creed family and what happens after their move to Ludlow, it deals with grief, loss and well monsters。 It is a great put together story, from start to finish, its neat and clean。 Not too long and not too short。 However I do not think it is the scariest, to this day IT has been the scariest book I have ever read。 Pet Sematary however maybe the most disturbing, it is the worst think you don't want to imagine and what really works with this book is King's ability to deal with human nature。 。。。more

I'm going to agree with mr King, this was his scariest book ever。 I don't know of anyone who would resist the urge to do what Louis Creed did 。 Oh man。。。。。。what a thought。 I'm going to agree with mr King, this was his scariest book ever。 I don't know of anyone who would resist the urge to do what Louis Creed did 。 Oh man。。。。。。what a thought。 。。。more

From a certain point of view, Pet Sematary is a love story。 It is the story about a farther who griews so mush, that he is willing to get his loved ones back to life, even if that mean to be involved with indian mythitical creatures, grave scoundreling and fantasies about murdering。 Jud as a character and the whole family drama between Lui and his farther in law and the way Rachel is portraited as a anoying person who think it is others responsibility to deal with her death trauma is interesting From a certain point of view, Pet Sematary is a love story。 It is the story about a farther who griews so mush, that he is willing to get his loved ones back to life, even if that mean to be involved with indian mythitical creatures, grave scoundreling and fantasies about murdering。 Jud as a character and the whole family drama between Lui and his farther in law and the way Rachel is portraited as a anoying person who think it is others responsibility to deal with her death trauma is interesting。 It is Stephen King in his prime。 It was before every book was basically the same。 To be honest many of his tropes is this, but you can forgive it, when knowing that。 Regarding the writing, he creates a creepy suspensful atmosphere and it is a page turner。 Like with Salems Lot, if you are new to his works, this book i also a good place to start。 :D 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Me demoré 3 días en leerlo y realmente me gustó!

Well I hated every second of this。 Not because it was scary, but because this is not my kind of book。 The ending was “good” and was very disturbing, but the buildup was so slow and so boring that I didn’t even care anymore。 I also found nearly all of the characters to be insufferable。 King novels might not be for me。 Michael C。 Hall’s narration of this was excellent though!

Second of the classic Stephen King novels I've read。 The other being The Shining。 I thought that The Shining was a true masterpiece, and while I enjoyed Pet Semetary and it felt like a truly personal novel, it just didn't quite reach the mastery of The Shining。 Thus, the four star rating。 If I could have given it 4 1/2 stars I would have done so。 Second of the classic Stephen King novels I've read。 The other being The Shining。 I thought that The Shining was a true masterpiece, and while I enjoyed Pet Semetary and it felt like a truly personal novel, it just didn't quite reach the mastery of The Shining。 Thus, the four star rating。 If I could have given it 4 1/2 stars I would have done so。 。。。more

3。5 The way he describes pain, grief, sorrow it's unlike anything I've read so far。 It actually brought tears to my eyes and this has only happened once before。 I don't think i could read this again, my heart was racing by the end of the book and didn't particularly liked the ending。 3。5 The way he describes pain, grief, sorrow it's unlike anything I've read so far。 It actually brought tears to my eyes and this has only happened once before。 I don't think i could read this again, my heart was racing by the end of the book and didn't particularly liked the ending。 。。。more

This revolves around the story of Creed family who moved in a small town in Maine。 Despite the disparity of the life they were used to from the life they aren't excitedly anticipating, adjustment is not a problem when everything gets auspicious。 Just as they are living the best fortunes of their lives, Stephen King (the author) have gone too far ruining it。This masterpiece still gives me creeps whenever I randomly thought or hear it in passing。 This revolves around the story of Creed family who moved in a small town in Maine。 Despite the disparity of the life they were used to from the life they aren't excitedly anticipating, adjustment is not a problem when everything gets auspicious。 Just as they are living the best fortunes of their lives, Stephen King (the author) have gone too far ruining it。This masterpiece still gives me creeps whenever I randomly thought or hear it in passing。 。。。more
